Release of the first block of Recorded Webinars to participants.
Block 1 TOPICS -Basic of Static Mechanics, Force and Moments, Center of Resistance. -Vector Calculations
-Movements. Center of rotation. Equivalent Force Systems. I
-How to calculate the needed force system for a specific dental movement
-Equilibrium - Anchorage Needs Estimation
You are asked to use the provided exercise book.
NOVEMBER 25TH, 2023, 15:00 - 17:00 GMT+1:00 (Central European Time - CET) Interactive Question Session about topics of Block 1
Release of the second block of Recordings to participants.
Block 2 TOPICS Use of T3DO Occlusogram /DMA Software in treatment planning and Mechanics Design.
In these Webinars, you will be trained in the use of the T3do and DMA software.
You will need to use the software on your own computer.
DECEMBER 16TH 2023, 15:00 - 17:00 CET GMT+1:00 (Central European Time - CET) Interactive Question Session about topics of Block 2
Release of the third block of Recordings to participants.
Block 3 TOPICS Concepts of Active/Passive Units - Statical Determination – Consistency, Friction, Sliding Mechanics, Occlusion, and Anchorage. The Segmented Arch Approach. Passive TPA and LA bending.
Statically determinate systems Cantilever design and Bending Statically indeterminate Systems, The clinical Use of geometries, V Bends and Alpha Beta Springs, Alpha Beta Springs Wire Bending. The use of rectangular loops for alignment Expansion and Rotation Activation of Palatal and Lingual Arches.
For these topics, you should also train in wire bending.
We recommend for this part to get the wires and pliers listed here.
If possible, get also a force gauge (necessary anyway if you will attend the onsite course afterward).
Any typodont or demonstrative models with any bracket prescription will be very helpful, however, it is necessary to have bands with lingual sheaths on the molars bands, if you want to try everything.
Students should also spend time learning from our Biomechanics in Orthodontic Textbook. NEEDED MATERIAL for the Practical Activity
